Another cosmetic brand leases 25,000 m2 in MDC2 Park Łódź South
Oriflame Holding AG – an international cosmetics holding company that produces and distributes cosmetics – is relocating its distribution centre to MDC2 Park Łódź South, a warehouse park near Łódź with direct access to the Tuszyn junction of the A1 motorway – the main transport route running from the northern to the southern border of Poland, ensuring the efficient delivery of products to Poland and other European countries. The A2 and the S8 motorways also pass close to Łódź. In addition, the S14 expressway connects the A2 motorway (Emilia junction) with the S8 motorway (Róża junction).
The project owned by Fortress Real Estate Investments Limited (Fortress), a company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), investing, developing and managing commercial real estate projects in South Africa and CEE, is being developed by MDC2.
MDC2 Park Łódź South consists of two distribution and logistics buildings with a planned total GLA of over 80,000 sqm. Oriflame’s space will be customised to allow for the storage and distribution of the tenant’s wide range of products.
Oriflame has been present on the Polish market for more than 25 years and has consistently developed its business by offering a wide range of natural cosmetics in direct sales programmes. The relocation of the logistics centre to Łódź is a strategic step in the company’s policy to strengthen its position in the domestic and European markets.

MDC2 is leading the change in sustainable warehouse space in Poland. All of MDC2’s buildings are BREEAM New Construction certified minimum at a Excellent level. The developer uses market-leading environmentally friendly solutions. According to an independent Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCA) carried out by PM Services, MDC2 Park Łódź South has a CO2 equivalent of 163 kg CO2e/m2, 49% lower than the Polish average result of 319 kg CO2e/m2, and 61% lower compared to the global average (413 kg CO2e/m2).
At MDC2 Park Łódź South, the roofs have been adapted for the installation of photovoltaic panels, the wall insulation has been increased. Chargers for electric vehicles are available at the site. A biodiverse green space is created around buildings. MDC2 Park Łódź South also features a Rest & Move zone, an innovative concept in the Polish warehouse park market that promotes a healthy lifestyle and improves working conditions for all users of the developer’s warehouse facilities.
